Joshua Koppel Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Information Technology

CHICAGO, IL, August 25, 2011 /HiTech PR News/ -- Joshua Koppel, Assistant Director of Information Technology of the Chicago Department of Revenue, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in information technology.
Mr. Koppel has been managing the information technology department for the City of Chicago Department of Revenue for nearly the past two decades. With a background in installation, networking, and maintenance, he offers his services to the City of Chicago Department of Revenue as their assistant director of information technology, which includes overseeing the information technology network software and hardware, negotiating contracts with vendors, and ensuring the deposit of coinage collected from parking meters. During the course of his 27-year career, his claim to fame was launching the Department of Buildings online, which included a high-profile interview in the Chicago Sun-Times.
Mr. Koppel has completed coursework at The University of Chicago, and is a member of the Chicago Area Origami Society. He is currently writing a cookbook called "Recipe Free Cooking." He is also writing a book about the architecture of Chicago, and a book about saving money, titled "Common Cents Savings."
